Yes! we have 2 bird boxes so far, they may get referred to as NB1 and NB2.Β
NB1 is a bird box which is pointing around 23Β° NE, we have no camera inside as it is placed in a tree 2m high and 40M away from our feeding stations.
NB2 is a robin nest box which is pointing N/A, there is no camera places inside because of space. Its located on a thick tall tree, its around 10 meters away from NB1.
we do daily checks by walking around the box and look for evidence of use on the entrance (feathers, dirt, marks, etc.) [note we do not touch the bird box during nesting season || February until October*]
*subject to if we don't know if any are nesting.
yes! videos may be uploaded to your channel if you wish, we would love more people to enjoy our streams! please ensure you leave a link to our channel in the description.
The cameras we use have starlight technology built in! They have 2 mini lights on them but there are never turned on. You may see on other live streams the picture is black and white thats because they use infrared lights, the lights are invisible to the human and animals eyes. At NatureNet our cameras can see colour in the darkest of nights!Β
To make sure everything works correctly and smoothly, we do often visual inspections of the stations. You can find the latest report here.
